Well This has been an interesting week for me! I discovered YaBB on Monday. I proceeded to download it and struggle with it ( SEE: hxxp:www.yabbforum.com/community/YaBB.pl?board=supp_nix;action=display;num=1068768478 [nonactive] ). Then this morning I proceeded to customize and modify it. While at the BoardMod preparing to get my new forum tweaked ( hxxp:boardmod.yabbforum.com/faq.php [nonactive] ) I noticed they kept making reference to YaBB & YaBBSE. What the hell is YaBBSE, I wondered? I looked into it and was about to jump ship and download it instead and then....SMF added to my confusion. I read the "Simple Review" and got intrigued again.

So after more deliberation I jumped 2 ship at one time and went from YaBB Gold straight to Simple Machines. 

I just PayPaled my dough and I'm looking forward to getting the current download for SMF. I hope I'm worthy. I'm not a coder, just a computer dude. So I'm sure I will rely on the expertise of many here.

Cool, glad to have you here.  Feel free to post any problems you have or once your charter membership is activated, open a support ticket it you need help upgrading.

It's worth noting that the current release of SMF is not only a beta (second beta) and hence is not considered a stable enviroment, however, as you can see... these forusm seem to be working pretty darn fine
The support staff will also help you to upgrade or install your forums if you have any trouble.
Finally, you've made a good choice with SMF
