My language files show up to date in my admin. My template files appear out of date. Where would I get the updated templates? Do I need to DL the whole current package and pull out the template, or is the default template posted somewhere that I can DL the updates from? Is the "current template" talking about the theme I'm using?

They don't seem to be default $txt[] string entries for SMF 2.x.  So I guess they are from installed mods that haven't got the correct $txt[] strings defined.  Look into this.

I will mark this as solved.

Thanks!
