Avatar Directory Permissions Error

After I moved my SMF install from a different directory (I'm pretty sure it worked before), I get the following error while trying to upload an avatar:

An Error Has Occurred!
The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved.

I tried CHModding the attachment and avatar directories to 777, so I'm pretty sure that isn't the issue.  I've checked all the directory and URL settings I know of and changed them for the new install location.

This is indeed caused by the "attachments" directory not being writable, or being incorrect.

Can you make sure the attachment upload directory is set to /home/politic/public_html/forums/attachments?

Oh.. I did miss that one. Thank you very much for letting me waste your time on a stupid mistake on my part

Well, this forum is filled with posts about my and other people's stupid mistakes.  If it wasn't for those, this forum would be pretty slow.

Not to imply I put them in on purpose.  I wouldn't mind if this forum was a bit slower, it'd make it easier to keep tabs on certain posts.
