This is strange, but its propably something I did  :-\  and I am not sure how long ago it started, as I did not notice it until today. The "quick login on everypage" option is checked in fetures and settings, and yet it does not show. When unchecked, a different kind of login appears across the page on the bottom. What might be causing this?
Thanks

You should be able to get rid of this by altering the index.template, or the boardindex ...

This is what i see in the boardindex.template:

// Show the login bar. (it's only true if they are logged out anyway.)
if ($context['show_login_bar'])
{
echo '
<tr>
<td class="catbg" colspan="2">', $txt[34], ' <a href="', $scripturl, '?action=reminder" class="smalltext">(' . $txt[315] . ')</a></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="windowbg" width="20" align="center">
<a href="', $scripturl, '?action=login">
<img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/icons/login.gif" alt="', $txt[34], '" border="0" /></a>
</td>
<td class="windowbg2" valign="middle">
<form action="', $scripturl, '?action=login2" method="post" style="margin: 0;">
<table border="0" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0" align="center" width="100%"><tr>
<td valign="middle" align="left">
<label for="user"><b>', $txt[35], ':</b><br /><input type="text" name="user" id="user" size="15" /></label>
</td>
<td valign="middle" align="left">
<label for="passwrd"><b>', $txt[36], ':</b><br /><input type="password" name="passwrd" id="passwrd" size="15" /></label>
</td>
<td valign="middle" align="left">
<label for="cookielength"><b>', $txt[497], ':</b><br /><input type="text" name="cookielength" id="cookielength" size="4" maxlength="4" value="', $modSettings['cookieTime'], '" /></label>
</td>
<td valign="middle" align="left">
<label for="cookieneverexp"><b>', $txt[508], ':</b><br /><input type="checkbox" name="cookieneverexp" id="cookieneverexp" checked="checked" class="check" /></label>
</td>
<td valign="middle" align="left">
<input type="submit" value="', $txt[34], '" />
</td>
</tr></table>
</form>
</td>
</tr>';
}

Try commenting it out and see what happens ...

OK, commenting out that code got rid of that login style(where did that come from? VB style login?), but still the quick login box does not show.

the quick login is at the top of the page. for any other login you'd have to click the login button, unless you made it so that guest could not see the board, only register or login. in that case, all anyone logged out, or unregistered, would see would be the login page.

Thanks nave, you know I really got this a little mixed up, I was thinking of it on the bottom right corner of the page, and thought the top login is different, not thinking I could just move it. I really should start getting more sleep.
