timed out while posting...

I have installed SMF 1.2 today & used the convertor from IPB -> SMF ( w*w.verbam.sytes.net -> w*w.verbam.sytes.net/SMF/ )
It works GREAT !!!

While i am still testing this forum,i have 1 problem found: "Your session timed out while posting. Please try to re-submit your message."

This is the message what i get, when i try to CHANGE an article (topic) his attachment.
Or when i try to attach an attachment to a existing article.

Can somebody help me out?

BUT i have found the problem today, i explain:

The attachments comming from my previous board (IPB) give this problem.
The attachments made by your board, works well !!!

I have removed all attachments from the previous board and reïnstall them again.

Now it's working VERY good !!!

next error that i have found ....

If you do NOT login & go to a topic with attachment TRUE the TPortal (who shows the articles for guest) then the login screen appears.... -->OK

THE ERROR:
now i login ..... --> and get again the login screen ... --> login again... --> go to the topic & try to download attachment ... --> GET again the login screen

TEMPO SOLUTION
do not allow guest to see topics in the TPortal
then you have to login BEFORE you can see the topic with attachment

THERE ANSWER
This error is caused by the way SSI.php works, which is part of the forum. If there is a
mix of topics that both have attachments and not attachments, there is no way(without
adding a rather complex sql query) to know what topics are which. And its logical too..the
attachment is closed for guests - you need to login to see it.

MY QUESTION EXPLAINED
I have changed my forum from IPB2 to SMF and the portal from MKPortal to TinyPortal,
just because there are a lot futures in the new software who's working better then the
previous installed + they are FREE to use!.

BUT in the previous configuration works it well and did i not have this error.
I will check this out BUT i can tell you that it WORKS without the portal installed.

Means: Visitors can SEE the topics but can NOT download the attachments.
Once they click on this attachment the FORUM ask you to login... and you can download.
If i do the same with the Portal installed i have the problem like i have discibed.

So, you just don't want the attachments to be shown to guests?

Once they log in they should be able to download it.  Strange.

No, even when i set in the settings off SMF that attachments are NOT vissible for GUEST, they show it anyway.
Here starts the problem:
GUEST can SEE the attachment but can NOT download it, once you click on it, SMF will ask you to login...
From now on the problem as discribed before starts here.
