Can't work out how to do this...help!

Hi,

I want to build a site that will allow people to share information via articles as well as form groups.  I know I can use SMF to create 'groups' in the way I want, but given the sheer number of groups needed (potentially 100's) and the fact that they shall be categorized by COUNTRY > CITY> TYPE OF GROUP, I need a way for end users to create their own password-protected self-managed groups and to seperate these groups into what look like separate forums (like the Shared Forum mod).

I'd like to use Joomla 1.5 and SMF 2.0 (bridged) with the Shared Forum mod then find another mod that allows end users to create their own groups but see no evidence that I can achieve what I want with them. Which is a shame, cause I love SMF.

Does anyone have any ideas they can share with me as to how I can make SMF work for my site?

Sorry for the late response.

There's no way to do this by default in SMF. I could move this to Feature Requests or Mod Requests if you like?
