Private events in the calender?

Is there any way you can use the calender as a planner for personal stuff? All the event you add seem to post to the forum or public view in the calender?

What happens if you post the topic for the event in a non-public area?  Would you still see that event as well?

Only those who have access to the post/topic/board itself are shown the calendar event.
