Rats, just type a post, went to send and IE report illegal action.

What I wanted to say is that I have been receiving the following error on my forums.

Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.

Been reading some the posts about this matter. 

Thought I would see if I received the same error message on this forum when trying to logout using IE 6.

I did.

But when using Firefox there never seems to be a problem.

So do we have a situation that the SMF forums are really only for those using anything except IE.

Seems to work fine with Firefox, Opera, Netscape, but problems with IE.

Please dont take this the wrong way, just trying to understand why there would be problems if people use IE.

Okay, just testing something here.  Using a computer down at the local library.  They have broadband, and I am not experiencing any problems with logout on my forums.

So could it be possible that there is a difference with normal dialup and broadband with session times/logouts.

Sorry but not too sure of all the terminology.

PS No problems here using IE 6.  So therefore the problems are not with SMF, but something else.

Would appreciate any feedback.

This is likely a problem with the cookie settings on your machine.  It may not be, for example, accepting cookies properly.

Try clearing your cookies and see if the problem exists.
