topic has the "new" label eventhough it's read

The subject covers it all mostly. I read a topic, all the way to the last post. I go to the index file, read some more, then return to the board and i see the "new" label by the post. I click on it and see posts i have already read. Not just me, a friend says it's happening to him as well.

first missing posts, now this....help or tip would be appreciated.

p.s. don't scream if there is already another topic like this, search didn't really help that much.

Probably either cached, or more likely someone edited the last post in the topic.
