i'd like to have more room on the memberlist to show some of the custom fields. so if i wanted to remove the icq/aim/yim/msn columns correctly, how would i go about that?

Here's a post with lots of good info, found by doing a search for 'memberlist' :)

i'm not sure, but i think that is essentially what i tried to do, but it came out looking all wrong... it looks like those instructions were actually for 1.x rather than 2b4... i wonder if there is something extra that needs to be done for the beta version that isn't detailed there?

i'll try again tomorrow, just in case those do work and i missed a step. thanks for finding that for me!

I looked some more tonight and found this mod.  It might be something that you would be interested in.

yep, i've got that installed :) i just wanted to remove the icq/aim/etc columns to make more room for the custom ones! of course, i didn't ever get around to working on that anymore today... i think i'm a little scared to try again LOL. i know i need to work on it tomorrow though.

Great, makes you feel good to complete something that you were a bit scared to tackle doesn't it.  Good job!

yep, sure does! and i had no reason to be scared really, it was pretty easy... i think what happened before is that i only edited the memberlist.php and failed to also edit the memberlist.template.php... or vice versa.

i manged it too, but the mod -> Custom Fields On Memberlist won´t work with 1.1.7
if i parse it i get the error: Sorry, but this modification does not appear to be compatible with the selected version.
there´s no way to install  :( or would anybody see a chance

JimM

@Jessikard - You are correct, that mod is not for 1.1.7.  Check the mod topic to find out if the author plans to release a 1.1.7 version.
