Popup Avatar

On my Club site members tend to upload their own avatar images (often of their vehicles as it is a classic car club forum).  Despite these being to small to really do the vehicle justice members still do it.

I'd really like to have clickable avatars which popup a larger image file in a separate plain image window ~ this sounds pretty simple as a mod but unfortunately beyond me...

Any takers?
