Post as different user?

Hi,

is it possible to post as a different user?

What I want to do: There will be a "InfoCenter" Board where information for the users will be posted. But this information shouldn't be posted by a "personalized" user account but by a general information account. It will be the same in a download area where files are posted by a File User.

Do you know what I mean and if it is possible without logging in/out all the time?

There are three problems with it
- it is only for admins, but in my situation also a hand of other users should be able to post as "File Manager" or "Information" user
- it is outdated
- it only allows one alternate user

I also found http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1554 but it is not available for 2.0b4 yet. I think I will wait for its 2.0 version.

How simple is it to create a new account, and switch between users? Theres a mod that lets you switch with the click of a button, I'll see if I can find it...

goetzi, is this issue resolved now? You may try using the workaround suggested above if they will be posting as the same user.
