broken attachments

When I attach files to my topics they show up twice . One is always very small and completely broken, the otherone is a bit bigger (filesize) and appears to be half uploaded. (when you download it, it just shows half the image)
Any ideas how to fix this? I've set the allowed file size large enough. It always happens (even with small images)

Strange, the attachments are quite obviously being misread by the server:

Any possibility of upgrading MySQL or Apache?  I'm not sure if that'd help or not, but it might.

Can you ask your host if they have "SNORT" or "mod_security" or anything like that?

I am waiting for an answer of them. I've asked them a few days ago if they changed anything.
When I get a negative answe on that one I will ask them about upgrading and SNORT and mod_security (whatever that may be  )

Wait, forgot something... two things actually.

1. Is this something that recently started happening, or has it always happened for you on this server/install?

2. Uploaded avatars seem to work fine, though, then?

1) I've just installed this great board =) I had troubles with my old forum (versatile bb)
2) uploading avatars is also not working great. Some avatarts doens't appear right at all, some show up half

Do you know where I can check my MySql and appache version (and what are the latest versions)

I've edited out the version numbers you posted because you're using older versions of some softwares which have known security holes.  This is part of why I recommended upgrading.
