Installing mods with several themes

Hello peoples,

I want to install some mods like the donation option and the user map, but when I do they only show up in the default theme and not in the other themes I have installed. Is there a 'easy' solution so that the new mods are automaticly installed in all themes?

Jerry

The only way to do it currently is to do it manually. If you search these forums a bit you will find quite a few posts on how to do it manually :)

That would mean a lot of puzzling for me :D
Ah well, it keeps me off the streets.
Thanks for answering.

PS:
I see a startrek banner in your reply. Do you like Star Trek? I guess you do. Perhaps you are interested in some Star Trek related screensavers I made. Feel free to download them from

They are in the download section and are freeware.

I've found the problem in the source! I can probably fix it, with some work...
The problem is that, in the function parse_path() in Subs-Package.php, whenever it comes across the tokens $themedir and $langdir it parses them with the default theme directory and language directory.
I'm going to study the function and the callers, and hopefully I can turn out a mod to fix that.

I'm afraid that's not exactly the problem.  Even so, it's not as if a public cvs server would allow public checkins...

What is the problem then? I'd like to take a crack at making a mod to fix that.

For one thing, it's impossible to apply mods exactly the same to all themes.  Look at the Simplicity theme, the Comic theme, and others.  How would you modify them exactly the way you modify other themes?  They may not even include the code you're looking for.
