IPB2.0 convert error

When I posted in the converter suppost forum it brought me to an error page.

When I try to convert I get this error:

Sorry, the database connection information used in the specified installation of SMF cannot access the installation of Invision Power Board 2. This may either mean that the installation doesn't exist, or that the MySQL account used does not have permissions to access it.

make sure the SMF database user can access the invision database.

How do you let it access the database other database?

Add the user from the SMF database to the IPB database (wherever you set up databases and users). Once you have it set up so that the same MySQL user has access to both databases it will work fine. If you're not sure how to add users to databases, copy the data from your IPB database to your SMF database...
