500 error on using quote/code tags

Since moving hosts, our forum has developed a little problem when using the quote/code tags.

when posting or sending a pm with more than 3040  characters enclosed with quote/code tags it throws up a 500 error.

the thread cant be displayed and if it's a pm then the recipient can't open their pm box

i am using smf2 4 beta

Is this issue resolved now?

If not, does this occur on posts also? I just tried testing this using a test PM and don't have a problem opening it up.

Just as a test, try removing the PM Informer mod to see if it helps.

This is probably caused by
14.    Auto Embed Video/Audio Clips    3.1.2 
I'd recommend uninstaling, and then getting the latest version from the mod site (5.x something)

Did you run any repair_settings tool to set all paths to the correct paths after the move?

Also the fact it was working on your old host, the new one might have some mod_security features in place that are causing this.  Have you looked at your server logs when the 500 errors occur to see the cause?  I'd have words with your host as well if the updated mod doesn't work.
