mambo complexity?

Hey guys,

is mambo hard to modify or combine with SMF? I don't know much of php/html, just the basic basic stuff, but I need some kind of portal or CMS that allows me to write articles for the front page plus write articles that viewers can click to on the navigation. Mambo seems to be a pretty good CMS, but I'm just wondering if it's easy in a way for beginners to modify it.

also are there german language packs for it?

I think it isn't hard to modify it...
I'm using it, modifited, try to use ssi_examples.php at Mambo Portal...

can you help me out? i want to make it so that when you register, you are automatically registered for the forum, so you don't have to register twice.

Read this forum, there is many of tips how to do that...
I'd like to use that function too, but i had some errors so i turn it off for now...

evolution,   that is what the mambo-smf bridge DOES...  it handles dingle registration and single login.
