i have done back up the Database from 2.0 but when i tried to load in 1.1.7 I had troubles

8: Undefined offset: 1001
/var/www/....Sources/Errors.php
138

can u help me plz...

tnx alot

NEMINI

can't be done, there is no script written for downgrading.
signatures are boring.

This is because there are major database changes between 1.x and 2.x

You can only revert to a backup you took at 1.1.7
However you will lose all topics/posts/members + everything since you upgraded to 2.x

You should alter all database variables,it's really hard to achieve

But somewhere i've seen already that babjusi can help in this case

You should better send him a PM about that issue

No because alot of the column names are changed.
Plus smf tables are relational, meaning that topics alone touch over dozens of tables.

If you want to go back to 1.1.7 completely, leave all your tables intact and upload the new install package for SMF 1.1.7. Then use repair_settings.php and make sure that the database information is correct. Then click on the Recommended values. Save the changes. That should restore your forum back to working order. Delete the repair_settings.php file once you are done.

^ no it won't.
If his table columns are named id_member instead of ID_MEMBER then it won't work.

He needs to revert to 1.1.7 database backup to have any chance of going back to 1.1.7.

Yep, misread that part in the beginning. Working on too many old topics (some which are long) got my eyes tired. He will need the 1.1.7 database backup in order to achieve this.

lukiluk, this will require a lot of work for you to get it back to 1.1.7. This is why we advise all users to make a backup of their 1.1.7 database before they upgrade to SMF 2.0 beta.
