I was just editing a post made by someone else (I'm using v1.1.7) and upon saving, I received this error...

LainaaYou have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's YouTube Blog about episode 1....', body = 'Its cut off like half way through t' at line 2
File: /home/.feller/a-hall/www.**************.co.uk/Sources/Subs-Post.php
Line: 1898

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.7, while your database is at version 1.1.6. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

I've just played with this and the error only occurs when I edit the Subject of the thread, if I leave the subject and edit the body, it goes through fine.

Apparently your /Sources/Subs-Post.php is a little manipulated, did you try to replace the related with the fresh one ?

Unfortunately I've installed mods that have played with that file, so I'm a bit wary of doing so? If there something specifically I can check for?

I've attached it dude - appreciate your help!

You can renew your Subs-Post.php ,there are no mods installed on Subs-Post.php

Btw. since when did you get this error and does it happen on every topic or just by a special one?

What kinda message contain the related topic ? Also the message, which you try to edit

If the problem occurs just with one topic, then it's something wrong within the topic

AHHHH I've found the issue - I'm using Aeva and the message that I'm editing has an embed/Aeva shortcut in it to embed the video - ifI remove this line ([smg id=88 type=av]), the topic updates perfectly.

I'll head over to the Aeva topic, thanks for your assistance Duncan.
