Same web server, different domains = issues

Currently I'm using SMF v2.0 Beta 4 RC1, and I'm attempting to setup my guild forums using the domain name we just purchased: http://www.predatory-guild.net

Previously, I was using a WWW redirect of http://predatory.kicks-ass.net which went to http://www.geekbocks.com/forums (my other site on the same web host) and that worked fine. However, in my attempts to get the forums using the new domain name, everything breaks.

Everything Breaks:

• Theme images no longer show, for any theme. However, the CSS and layouts still work.
  Avatars no longer show
  Gallery no longer show's images.

In the forum admin center, I changed the forums address to: http://www.predatory-guild.net/forums, and in the themes area i changed the theme locations to all reflect http://www.predatory-guild.net/forums. Now, using the exact same settings with exception of the domain name, no images show. But, if I change them all to geekbocks.com/forums, it works fine.

Also: In my process of 'fixing' my problem. I noticed that I was not using RC1 of SMF 2.0. So, I updated it. Forums are now completely broke to shiz. plus side? I made backups.

By the way. I tried clearing the forums cache, browser cache, and using repair_settings.php. All have the same result.

Just reinstalled SMF v2.0 Beta 4 RC1, exact same results.

Do you change the theme after you do the changes in repair_settings.php ?


GO to Admin Panel --> Themes and OPtions --> Themes and Layouts --> Attempt to reset all themes..

See if that works out.

ANGER!!!! IT FILLS ME!!!!!!! 

The problem was that my web host had image hotlink protection on. Disabled it, and it now works without any issues!

LOL, Dont worry, it sometimes happens like that. Glad to see the things are solved.
