Limiting the use of BBC by membergroup

I was just wondering how to limit the use of BBC code by membergroup.

I know there has to be a way to do it as SMF is very robust and configurable.

I am just not sure how to go about this. I have looked over the membergroup permissions but don't understand how I could set them to make this happen.

I set my board (for spam reasons) so all new members cannot modify their profile until they have posted 10 times and that works great. I also removed the appropriate BBC permissions for links in posts. Now I would like to give my verified members (the ones who have posted at least 10 posts) the ability to use the BBC tags that allow links in posts.

Anyone using their board this way? If so could you give me any suggestions about how to implement this. I am currently using SMF 1.1.8 but over the weekend will be upgrading to SMF 2.0 rc1

There are mods to control bbc usage either each bbc or specifically links (as an anti-spam measure).
However looking at the mod site, non of them are 2.0 compatible atm.

If you are still using SMF 1.1.8, this mod should do what you need. If you need this for SMF 2.0 RC1, we will need to move this to the Mod Request board for you if you still want this feature.
