What do you mean? The latest member automatically will update itself.

A good script will call the SMF function to register the member, which should also update the stats.

However you should also be able to update them manually:
Admin area > Forum Maintenance > Recount Totals and Statistics

I'm not sure what specifically in the database you're referring to
