Problems updating

Hey, when i try to update uploading small update to the package manager i get this:

Could not upload package, please check directory permissions!

i am sure the packages folder is 0777

well some server need temp file
please create a folder inside your packages folder and name it temp and make it writeable 777

There is no update for 2.0 through the package manager.  You have to unzip the files and FTP them to your site.

ah, btw would updating remove my packages?

Upgrading to 2.0RC1 is by using the large upgrade package.  These directions are pretty thorough.  Upgrade SMF.

You will need to reinstall any mods as you are overwriting files.
