Conversion from PNphpBB2, some topics/posts are lost if converting polls

Hello all. I'm hoping one of the local experts can help me with this problem. It's had me stumped for the last two days.

We have a PNphpBB2 forums running inside an hxxp:www.envolution.com/ [nonactive] site. I've convinced the mods to switch to SMF since they are fed up with the complexity of Envo. I've been given a full dump of the DB and I've "sanitized" it in order to show you the problems I have, but I assure you, the problem is present whether I do it on a copy of the full data or on the data I'll show you.

First off, I dumped the following tables from the current install: users, ranks, groups, config, user_group, categories, forums, topics, posts, vote_desc, posts_text, vote_results, vote_voters, privmsgs, privmsgs_text, topics_watch, auth_access, words, disallow, banlist and smilies. I picked those since they are the ones that the phpbb_to_smf.php script accesses. After some very small changes on the config (site and script_path), I can get the data working on a fresh install of phpBB2: hxxp:izaram.net/~smf/phpBB2 [nonactive] login/password: User100/userpass. Like I said, apologies for the strange data.

When I try to convert this, I get the following result: hxxp:izaram.net/~smf/smf_complete [nonactive]. Same login/pass, of course. Look closely at Forum ID 1. Topic ID 162 is missing, for example. This is just one of many, look at the numbers for topics/posts on the forum descriptions to see that many are simply not showing.

Now, if I empty the vote_* tables from the phpBB2 db, and I try the conversion, I get this: hxxp:izaram.net/~smf/smf_nopolls [nonactive]. Here all the posts/topics show properly, but of course, all poll data is lost.

There are no errors during the conversion of either db. I also tried the "Find and repair any errors" and the "Recount all forum totals and statistics" options and while it does find many errors, even after fixing them the topics/posts remain lost.  A search on these forum for similar problems yielded no results.

I know some php and I understand the basics of mysql dbs, but this is beyond me. All those joins always lose me. I there some kind soul who could help me convert these forums into SMF? I can give anyone phpmyadmin and forum admin access.

I am in the same situation, OompaLoompa. 

I used to use postnuke and then switched to envolution.  These both have way more features than I will ever use and I am tired of fighting with the complexities of both.  I now just want SMF forums + a wiki.

I tried converting my site over and had problems similar to OompaLoompa.  Unfortunately, I don't know enough php/sql to be able to rework the phpbb_to_smf.php script for PNphpbb2.

Does anyone have any suggestions??
