email notification's

hi I'm having trouble with email notification's from my board
i have a member setup and selected to notify of any post to a board
and I'm not receiving the notifications
i tried emailing from member to member and that works so the email info is correct
is there any known issue with SMF 2.0rc1 in this area

i am receiving post notification an hour after it was posted to a differant account
why such a long delay?? would be the next question going

I would hazard to guess is a host mail issues.

What is the current mail delivery setup you're using?  If it's phpmail() try defining/using a SMTP setup with the webmaster account you've defined in your server settings.
