I'm using the mambo+SMF integration for my site. I'm just wandering, can i change the position of the copyright notice to the footer of my site?
as you can see here here [nofollow] there a 2 copyright notice, 1 for the smf and the one on the footer is my site copy + mambo.
can I change the position of:
Gamemagz Forum | Powered by SMF 1.0.2.
© 2001-2005, Lewis Media. All Rights Reserved.

to my site footer:
Gamemagz Forum | Powered by SMF 1.0.2. © 2001-2005, Lewis Media. All Rights Reserved.
All products and trademarks are property of their respective owners. © 2004 Gamemagz. All Rights Reserved.  {mambo img} Powered

after reading the SMF licence, I dont think i'm breaking the licence as i did not change the the copy notice. Or am I?

thanks to all the smf dev and community for all the help :D

I'm pretty sure you are not going to be breaking any rules. I have my copyright notice at the bottom of may pages also. I am using a ported template from YABBse and to move the position of the copyright on my site I just change the position of <YABB COPYRIGHT> in my theme templates.

I think on SMF forums that havn't been ported you need to move the following.
Lainaa
', theme_copyright(), '
Move it to where you want it on your page.
;D Make sure you backup the file you are moving this in first because I am not sure if it will work properly.

I dunno
after reading this post http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=26929.15
i think changing the position is still considered breaking the licence

This looks ok to me, but I only say this because I proposed a similar layout in another thread and it was deemed acceptable. Do a search. It's been asked many times... sigh
