Need help desperate

I upgraded to 2.0 and now I cannot view the Forum and many other things.

I don't know how to play with this and I do have a full backup just before doing the upgrade.

Can you please help

This happened after I changed the theme. It was working good with the 2.0 but Now I am locked and can't do much.

I cannot see next to home it used toi say forum

If I hit admin and when the page comes up there is a link that says detailed info. When I click it it brings up the forum just like normal. But if I try do do anything else there is something missing cause sometimes I get a fatal error page and sometimes I get the admin Panel but very short. Basically I cannot even unlock the registration so that you guys can see it.

I'm getting a 404 error, which implies that the required files are not there? Is this how it is, or have you deleted the files?

I deleted everything. But I still have a full backup made inside the maintenence.

What can I do.

The forum was only two days old but I had everything I needed already there and took quite a bit of time to get it there.

By restoring the backup, do I get back the members and forum posts and topics just like it was even if I deleted everythin from the database before restoring it?

Upload clean files from an upgrade archive. Then upload the attachments folder and settings.php from a backup.

After running upgrade.php, everything should be in working order

Unless he hasn''t deleted the database as well along with the files. In that case he needs to restore the backup he had made before the upgrade and then start the upgrade once again.

Or you kept the db juanporro?

All I have is the big file that the forum maintenance puts out. I cannot split that file is a weird extension like .CFL or something like that.

I do not have a populated Database.

All I have left is the file the forum produces when in maintenance doing a backup.

I am as we speak loading it with PHPOAdmin to see if it works.

My question now is. If I get this restore done good, do I get my forum like it was before or do I have to start over again? I ask cause in Afghanistan the broadband is very slow and I could use the time. If I have to start over then I'll just do that instead of waiting for that big file to load up.

Do I have to un RAR the file? or do i load it to PHPADMIN compressed?

Hey guys youe are awesome.

I loaded it with the PHPMYADMIN and went through good.

The only thing I lost was all of the attachments.

I still have the folder with the attachments in it but I cannot make it work somehow. Anyway that is a small price to pay. I can load the attachments again. They were all my posts anyway like I said it is a brand new forum so not much to worry.
