I have just loaded SMF Forum onto my new site hxxp:www.ne-seaangling-boatshow.co.uk [nonactive]

It now will not let me in as administrator and deneys my user and password

I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no avail even though i changed my user and passwords

can anyone help please?

I see it says  Powered by SMF 1.1.7 (This is 2.x support board btw. ) - did you install the forum manually or with a 3rd party application such as Fantastico?

Oooops Sorry, didnt look properly.

But yes I am using Fantastico from my CPanel.

Should I try and manually upload the update with dreamweaver?

Actually sorry, that wouldn't do you good since you can't login at all...

I'd say the best bet would be to uninstall the forum you have now, and install it manually from scratch....

Installing SMF

That way you would also get up to date, since right now you are running an older version...

The link posted would actually get you in but as posted I would install manually so that there is no upgrade needed.

Also, please do not double post on the same topic.
