SMF 2 RC1 - REGULAR MEMBERS CAN SEE THE MOD PANEL AND GLOBAL MODS CAN SEE THE AD

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The permissions are all screwed up (I checked them like 5 times and nothing is wrong, so I don't know what to do).

Normal members can see the moderate panel!!! And to make matters worse, Global Moderators can see the Admin Panel!!!!!!!!!!! How do I fix this? Just about every time I upgrade, the permissions mess up. I was usually able to resolve the problem by simply deleting the membergroup where the problem is, and making it again, but this time it made the problem WORSE by giving Global Moderators access to the admin panel!!!

Please help me!!! I don't want my members to screw up the forum!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparently they have some rights to access AdminCP,you should check the permissions carefully,you might miss sth.

Absolutely nothing. I didn't change a thing. There has to be a solution to this...

If you didn't change anything,then it makes no sense,that regular members have suddenly access to the admincp

I never said normal members can see  the admin panel. I said they can see the moderate panel. And yes, I'll give you access to the admin panel. I just need to see some sort of proof that you're part of the SMF team first (for security reasons, no hard feelings).

Though I'm pretty sure nothing is checked that would cause this.

He's part of the support team, you can tell by his member group image. The images with the little SMF logo on the right are part of the team, with the text on the left indicating what area they cover.

This is all down to the way the members group is set up.
Modify the members apply a tick in the checkbox then select apply pre-defined permission set.  Set this to standard.

Can you run the permissions report for an affected user and you can determine where they are getting access to the moderate/admin areas.  As it's not normal for those to have such access, it must be changes to the permissions system you've made.

Mods installed.  Also did you upgrade from a forum that was once converted from other forum software?
