Resizing images posted by link

Is there a solution or a mod to auto-resize the images posted by hotlinking ? Some posted images are way to big and they are destroying the layout.

Admin > Features and Options.

max height of posted images
max width of posting images

(Note images have to be downloaded for this to work)
Alternatively download one of the scripts which resizes them via javascript
