How do I import members from 1.1.7?

I deleted my old board and backed up my members and I can't get them to import into 2.0 RC1.

If I were you I would install the SMF 1.1.7 version in my local computer and then import that backup database then grab a copy of the 2.0 RC1 Upgrade and upgrade the 1.1.7 to RC1 after that Ill Dump the database again and import it back to Your live 2.0 RC1 Installation you cannot import the database of 1.1.7 to RC1 directly because there are some structure changes in the database from 1.1.7 to RC1. Of course there are more easier way to do it but that's what I can think of now.


By the way Did you made a backup of the whole database or the members table only?

There are changes to the database names and field from 1.1-> 2.0. You can't just import that data.  Also you can't really just import the members table as it's linked to so many other tables.

You'll need to have the full 1.1 db restored and then perform the upgrade process on the db.  Use that in your 2.0 RC1 forum and delete all the extra content you no longer want.
