Edit PM After Send

In the well known PhpBB you can edit any sent PM's before they have been read by the reciever, as far as i can tell on SMF you cant do this and i cant find a MOD that adds this feature

would someone be willing to write a MOD that saves PM's in the outbox until it has been read, and then you can edit the message in the outbox?

I don't particularly like this functionality, but someone should be able to code it up.  SMF is capable of it.
