How to override post count permissions?

This issue is becoming a real problem.

We have post count based forums, unfortunately some twits post rubbish just to reach higher levels.

I have tried making member groups like "bad member" and only allow that group to view low level forums but the post count group simply overrides the permissions of the "bad member" group, even when the primary member group is changed to "bad member"

Is there no way to make manually assigned groups have priority over post count groups?

hmmm.. not too sure i no exactly what you mean...
but you can disable post counting on boards...

You could set local permissions on those boards and deny posting by the membergroup you want to target. That will sort it.
