Converting when phpBB database is on different MySQL server

Hi Folks,

I have a phpbb3 forum I'd like to convert to SMF, since I use SMF on all of my other sites.  I (unfortunately) host with GoDaddy which places all of your databases on different servers - even when they're all under the same account.  The converter, therefore, is worthless.

Is there anything I can do to convert to SMF short of changing web hosts?

the only way: install SMF to the same database as phpBB is installed. SMF tables start with smf_ by default and don't modify your phpBB in any way.
