Hi,
I was wondering if i was able to but the header of a css theme into the top of SMF
the theme i am talking about is http://www.freecsstemplates.org/preview/widgetlike [nofollow] i don't want to use a iframe, want it to be www.website.com/index.html [nofollow] for the homepage and www.website.com/forum [nofollow] for the forum, i know it has something to do with the index template.
and also is there anyway i could put news from a news board in the forum to the homepage.

I want to make sure I understand your question.

If you want to integrate smf into regular html, changing the document's type and adding the ssi code as needed would be enough.

If you want to change the colors and images of the default theme for smf to match the widgetlike template, you would have to create a new theme for smf.  There is a tutorial available to you for this @ http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?topic=233.0
