Remove registration button

hi guys..just wanna ask how do i remove the registration button on the main page of the forum or anywhere else??...which code and file do i have to edit??..thank you so much for the help..

Admin -> Edit Features and Options
Set "Method of registration employed for new members" to "Registration Disabled".

thanks..i had done that..however..not only do i wish to disable registration..i want to remove the registration button..i have searched around..and found some thread about this..however..i am still not able to do so. This is what i did at default them index.template.php
