Hi I am currently running your forum on my site and lately we have been getting some strange activity from a Guest seen below:

Guest (66.249.65.104)   09:16:46 AM     Posting in What are u listening to now?.
Guest (66.249.65.104)   09:24:16 AM     Posting a new topic in Games.
Guest (66.249.65.104)   11:20:59 AM     Tracking an IP address.

I found that everything I did the "guest" was mimiking me therefore I banned the IP and have shut down the forum temporarily. What should be done from here so that I can put my forum back up without having to worry about a hacker in our system?

I ran a trace of the ip and found the following:

No messages from the specified IP (range) found (there are no IPs in this range on our site)

Thats the google crawler bot, its only displaying what it wants to do, if theres no harm i wouldnt worry.

All its doing is listing you in google.

Actually it's the google ads bot rather than the search engine spider and thats why you see it tracking an IP, it's because thats what you were doing and naturally to decide what ads to show, it has to view the page to decide on what content to show.

In short, there is no hacker.
