After uploading two different packages with no problems I am now getting this when trying to upload another

An Error Has Occurred!
You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!

smf 2.0 RC1                packages directory is at 777 btw

try creating a folder inside packages called temp and chmod that to 777 aswell.

And try again.

if that doesn't work, try using chmod 775 or 755 as some hosts don't like 777.
