I have installed Mambo, the forum and the bridge succesfully
A enter the mambo web site with a login and password
I would like to enter the forum without entering the login and password again
In the bridge I put 'using mambo registration' , use 'user name' and unwrapped
I have also published all the mambot smf
I use the smf login form
But it is still not working and I can't even to the mambo web site
Have you an idea where I am wrong, I didn't find anything in the doc
thank you

1)  You need to publish the SMF_header_include mambot.

2)  Do you have a test username/password I can use?  You have all your menu items set to be viewable to registered members only.

Yes, that is the SMF_header_include.php file.

You need to publish the mambot in your Mambo admin panel.

Your forum menu item points to your stand alone forum, which is not bridged in any way.

I tried typing in the URL to the bridge manually, and it does not seem to be installed.

Did you perhaps just upload the files to where you thought they should go via DirectAdmin?

In my first post, I explained my config (included the all smf and the bridge published)
Because it didn't work I use a direct link to the forum index page and then I have to enter the login and password again
So the web site is not configured with the bridge
I going to install everything in another url with the bridge configuration and I will let you know when finish to have a look
Thanks

I didn't have time to install another url and I can't change the one I use know because is a litle busy
but my question stay the same:

I have installed Mambo, the forum and the bridge succesfully
A enter the mambo web site with a login and password and after I will have the link to the forum
I would like to enter the forum without entering the login and password again

What is the configuration to be set or where can I find a doc explaining this config
thank

Orstio

You don't need to configure anything special to do that.  All you need to do is have the menu item in the Mambo menu pointing to the bridge component.

It is what I did but it doesn't work
should I put 'using mambo registration' and use 'user name'?
should I publish all the smf in the mambot?
And of course using the smf login component, I guess ?

beside I have always the message that the default theme's directory is wrong, I try unsuccesfully many things, do you know what i should use?
thanks

Orstio

You seem to be very confused as to the functionality of the settings.

I need to see it running to explain to you what is wrong.  You need to provide a URL where it is running so I can see it.
