Calendar events in specific boards

Maybe I'm overlooking something, but I haven't been able to figure out a solution for this.

I'd like to give permission to my members to post events to the calendar. Is there a way that I can create a specific board only for events? Unfortunately, if I give them permission to post events, it seems they can post them in ANY board that they have permission to post in.

If you need any more clarification, I'll be glad to add to this post.

SMF has the setting to set the 'default board' for events.
But doesn't have a setting to force the user of that board.

Users can alter the board via the dropdown.

To get such functionality
- request a mod
- trying editing the templates yourself to change the dropdown, to a hidden input with the first item in the array (as the selected board) as the value.
