406 errors using admin.

I have a vanilla install of SMF 1.02 and I'm getting any number of 406 errors whilst trying to set up the boards.

I'm getting pretty frustrated because I'm making the move from phpBB due to SMF's unarguably better features and implementation.

I know the problem relates to my web host being paranoid. I'd like them to change their config but alas, they are a very cheap host and not open to such discussion

What and where do I need to edit to ensure '&' replaces ';' in the required places?

Do a search for error 406, this has come up a lot of times, theres a mod to fix it and the next release 1.1 has been change to avoid these kind of problems with silly server configs.

Thanks Ben, I found http://mods.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=71 which seems to have solved the issue.

I used the package version to update my board, the following 2 files failed to update:-

./Sources/LogInOut.php
./Sources/Register.php

I'll update them manually, hope it doesn't break anything
