How to change forum's name.

Him I'm wonder how to change the name of the forum.  Right now it says Nerd 101 in the left hand corner and i wanted to change it.  Is there a way to do this?

Admin > Edit Server Settings > Message Board Name

Actually I just tried to change it but it said These settings cannot be changed because Settings.php is read only.

chmod your Settings.php to 666

You can do it using an FTP client such as FileZilla or using CPanel's built-in File Manager...

Does changing the forum name have any unintended consequences? How is it used by the board besides welcome messages and the displayed name in the forum itself?  For instance, could this mess up integrated chat mod?

No, it won't.  It's only used in emails, and for display purposes.
