How to change colors inside shoutbox

i tried almost by editing colors in nneonnneo shout box code but there is no effect.
actually i am using black theme to my site. when i send message on shoutbox it mixed with the theme color so i am not able to see the message can some body help me about this

You can actually edit the style inline

../Themes/{your_theme}/index.template.php (Or wherever you inserted your shoutbox template code)
