installation w/out forum folder?

Hi all is it ok for SMF 2.0 to upload smf installation files to my host even without forum folder?

I am not sure if I understand you correctly but I think you mean to install SMF in your root directory instead of a "forum" directory? Like yourdomain.tld instead of yourdomain.tld/forum? If so then it will be fine.
