cant install smf forum at dhost.info.com

 well i have uploaded SMF to my ftp and now i want to install it.
i went to my site and run the install.php but when i get the first page and i fill everything in i get this error
Unable to connect to FTP server with this combination of details.
i tried somethings but i just cant get past it now what am i doing wrong?

server = localhost <---is this wrong?

or do i need to config something ?
please help me out here

Usually "localhost" will work. If not, try ftp.domain.com. Also, make sure the path is correct (usually something like /public_html/forums).
