WFM = Works for me.

Try pressing Ctrl-F5 (on the post page) and trying it again.

Tried that and the servers show install:

root@***** [~]# rpm -qa | grep spell
pspell-0.12.2-8
pspell-devel-0.12.2-8
aspell-0.33.7.1-9

***** = omited my server.

You mean on your server, not here?  Then you probably don't have things installed properly.  For one thing, you don't need or want pspell/pspell-devel, and you do need and want aspell-devel.

Looked and had the proper changes done.

Ok so I have my server looking at :

The path for aspell is /usr/bin. I have added this path in open_basedir to have an access from PHP

there has to be a setting in SMF looking elsewhere,
anyone know what file shows this ?

aspell-0.33.7.1-9 is very old....

SMF does not pipe Aspell.  Aspell API support needs to be compiled into PHP, which means PHP needs to be recompiled.

Ok, ? LOL :D

Thats over my head, as I am far from being
a php expert.

I'll just disable the spell checker.
It was just an after thought to use this option.
Some members wanted it.
Spent 4 days on it already.

But thanks for the help it was appreciated.
