Read New returns to new list

Ok, here is one I would love to see, when you click on read all new, you can read the first new item but then what?  If you click next you read the next message in the thread, not the next NEW message.  I'd like to see a link added that allows the user to continue onto the next new message from the new list or at the very least, return to the new messages view.
