Does this theme work on RC 1.1? If it do, how to make this theme work on RC 1.1?
Alexander :::

J. Williams

This theme was designed for 1.0 x

And there is no changes topic on how to upgrade the 1.0 themes

Yes, we'd all love the theme to be 1.1 RC, but c'mon guys, asking multiple times the same thing isn't likely go get it upped but instead perhaps aggravate the theme creator eh?

J. Williams

The theme creator did it for another forum software

Did he do it after getting asked ad nauseum for 2 pages straight with double posts by some people in a row about it? Nightwish was asked before and specifically said it would be done with 1.1 was final. To keep asking after that having been said seems to not respect the wishes of the theme creator...

Those who say this skin works on 1.1 are wrong.

Primary functions like mark read would be incompatible.

As a matter of fact it needs lots of serious modifications to make it work for 1.1RC1, hence not encouraged to be installed if you have little time on your hand! ;)

Check out this forum that works: http://freshmidis.uni.cc/forums/

Hmm... Upon checking the first post indeed the download link is broken. Moreover it seems that the author has decided to discontinue the development of this theme. Unfortunately for us...

P/s: I don't have a backup copy of the original theme, sorry!

It is attached to the bottom of the first post.  The link is that of SMF forum itself and it is indeed working.  JJ Williams was not talking about the link in the post itself but the attachment at the bottom (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=30772.0;attach=5466)

Sorry for the late reply.

In the first place I installed this theme for 1.1 Beta 3p and then upgraded to 1.1RC1. Just install it like any other normal theme and you could see it running. However you will find many functions not working and if you know which file to modify, then just go for it. Good luck!

It's cool but when I try to install it it says "Unable to load the main_above sub template!" and the theme become a copy of a other theme. And btw the download link doesn't work. I guess it won't work if you install it with RC 1.1. Could you please put up a download with a working one for RC 1.1 since you got it to work?

Would be nice!

Hello Alexander,

I can't recall such a problem while I was installing it but it probably means you should make a copy of the additional function from the default (updated) template to Aqua Soft template, provided you know which file to modify.

By the way the download link is broken, but the file is still attached to the first post.

Here is the direct link and is working if only you're logged in:

First of all: I love Your theme! Brilliant work.

But Im having a few problems: If You have a look at the first screenshot, You can see that for some reason the search ("Suche") button is not visible.
http://wiwi-board.junkyard.name/bilda/screenshot1.gif (54KB)

I put the .css file from the readme folder in the theme root and the correctly named search-button (tb_search_a.gif) into /images/buttons. But that damn thing wont show up. All the other buttons work. What went wrong?

http://wiwi-board.junkyard.name/bilda/screenshot2.gif (65KB)
Also the DHTML-Menus are kind of screwed up, as You can see on the above screenshot.

http://wiwi-board.junkyard.name/bilda/screenshot3.gif (61KB)
This is a screenshot of my error-log. These errors repeat that "Undefined index: a03"-error for a01, a02, a03 and a05.

I can provide You a test-account on my board if thats helpful.

I completely read this topic and i've got this theme installed including that nice toolbar and the css files that were included at my own forum but....

The problem mentioned in this quote is not yet fixed. Could some-one give a possible solution for solving the DHTML problem?

Tanks in advance!

Ronald. (www.ronaldenmaria.nl for the forum)
