It disables the place in your profile where you enter your urls. I made it because i had people who registered and had zero posts but sith sex and spam links

ellion

so is this to stop members with no posts from adding a signature or does it stop all links. and is it just for members with 0 posts or is it all members regardless of group or reputation?

thanks, a much need feature for smf is to be able to prevent certain membergroups from posting links in posts or signatures. (spamming)

In your profile, normally you can enter your Website Title and Website URL.  This mod changes those input boxes to read "Links has been disabled" for all users.

Yes, this will be it till i upgrade. But i am working on another mod.

Memberlist, Posts, Personal Messages, Other Mods (Ultimate Profile, Staff Page...) a lot of pages when the urls stills showing

You should do of the mod remove the urls in the Sources files to disable this in all the pages

Hi

TY for the mod it is what our forum just needed.

I just installed it on SMF 1.1.11

A note go in to maintenance mode first and remove all exsisting website and url's first. You can do this through the admin panel-members-searchmembers. and place in the website box www* and http*.
And go through each members and take there websites and urls' out. then apply the mod.
Then back out of maintenance mode.

That easy.

Another note this mod does not allow anyone including admin to have any url's in there there profile. But signatures are not affected.

I look forward to the next version.

Thanks again

This is rather urgent and something must be wrong here. When I uploaded the MOD, this message came up:

The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.

My new forum is being attacked by spammers for not having this restriction so please help immediately. Thank you.

Hi Guys,

When you bring out the new version, could you please make it possible for us to only select certain members' urls to be disabled, or possibly all members except admin or administrator please. Thanks!

adrelanos

Any updates on this? Got the same issue with zero post users accounts just adding a link to some casino website.

Of course not. The mod clearly specifies that it only works on 1.1.x...   actually 1.1.8, so it may not even work on 1.1.20
