Is this possible? / convert IPB 1.3 into SMF on different servers

I need to convert my current forum, which is IPB 1.3, into SMF.   However, the IPB and SMF forums are located on different servers, is it possible to convert the IPB forum to SMF forum without having it be installed on the same server?

I'm afraid it isn't.  However, is there any possiblity of copying the forum data over to the new server... e.g. with phpMyAdmin?

ok, well i got smf on the same server, and i installed it, and converted everything, but for some reasons, only about half of the posts copied over.  it says that they are there, but when i go into each of the forums, half of them are missing...

You may need to go to Admin -> Forum Maintenance -> Recount all totals and statistics.
